Fall Is Coming: Simple Ways to Get Your Home Ready for the New Season 🍂
August is almost over, and before we know it, cooler fall weather will be here!
As the seasons begin to change, this is a great time to give your home a little attention and prepare for the months ahead.
One of the easiest—and most important—things you can do is change your HVAC filter. After working hard through the summer, your heating and cooling system deserves a fresh start. A clean filter can help your system run more efficiently, improve airflow, and reduce the amount of dust circulating throughout your home.
Fall is also a great time to spruce things up. Put away some of the summer décor, bring in warm seasonal touches, declutter areas that have gotten a little messy, and give your home a good cleaning. You don’t have to spend a lot of money. A new fall wreath, cozy throw pillows, fresh flowers, or a few seasonal accents can make your home feel refreshed.
While you’re at it, take a few minutes to walk around your home. Check windows and doors for drafts, clean your gutters as the leaves begin to fall, test your smoke and carbon-monoxide detectors, and make sure your outdoor areas are ready for cooler weather.
And if you’re thinking about selling your home this fall, these small maintenance and appearance updates can also help your property feel clean, comfortable, and well cared for when potential buyers walk through the door.
A new season is a perfect excuse for a fresh start—both inside and outside your home.
Thinking about buying or selling this fall? I’m always happy to help you prepare for your next move.
